Born and raised in the Northwest, artist Jerry Fitzsimmons has had a passion for watercolors for over 40 years. As a young man, Jerry learned watercolor techniques from one of the Northwest's most well-respected artists, Jess Cauthorn, while studying at the Burnley School of Professional Art (now the Art Institute of Seattle). Jerry's focus on watercolors took a detour into graphic arts for many years while he was employed with Boeing. There, he put his artistic gifts to use managing in the Sales/Graphic Arts department. Since retirement, he has been able to direct his energies back full-time into what he's loved for so many years - watercolors. Living in the beautiful Northwest has given Jerry much inspiration, which is evidenced in his favored subjects: landscape and nature scenes.
You may also find Jerry's paintings at various art galleries and shows in the greater Seattle area.
